Pawn Loans
A Florida Pawn pawn shop is a legal, licensed business that offers people the option of using their personal items as collateral in exchange for a secured loan.
Customers bring personal items to receive an instant cash loan based on the valuation of those items. We assess the item, make an offer, and if accepted, hold the item securely as collateral while you receive cash. Repay the loan plus interest within the loan term and your item is returned. Visit our How It Works page to learn more.
General items we accept include (but are not limited to):
Fine jewelry, diamonds, watches, electronics, designer handbags, shoes, vehicles, musical instruments, power tools, appliances, artwork, silverware & silver flatware, gold and silver coins and bullion, and collectible items (rarely).
All items must be in excellent physical condition and fully operable with all components included. Please clear all data and remove all accounts (iCloud and personal information) from electronic devices before bringing them in. If you’re unsure whether your item qualifies, call us at (954) 353-7296.

We do not accept items that are worn, damaged, broken, or non-functioning. We do not accept fake designer or luxury brands, or knockoff models of any item type. All electronics including gaming consoles and televisions must include all cords and remote controllers β televisions without remote controllers cannot be sold or pawned. Graded memorabilia with authentication paperwork may be accepted at our discretion. Ungraded memorabilia, loose sports cards, and collectibles without paperwork are not accepted.
Your loan amount is based on the valuation of the item used as collateral. Depending on what you bring in, you can receive a cash loan ranging from $10 up to $10,000,000.
Yes. Every loan is charged an interest rate of 5β25% of the principal loan amount every month or part of a month, in accordance with Florida state guidelines.
In accordance with Florida state guidelines, our loan terms are 30 days with a 30-day grace period, totaling 60 days. Loans can also be extended or paid down earlier.
If you miss a payment, Florida Pawn provides a 30-day grace period. During this period, an additional 5β25% interest charge will accrue to your remaining balance.
All customers requesting a cash loan must be 18 years of age or older with a valid government-issued photo ID (Florida Driver’s License, State ID, or U.S. Passport). You’ll also need the item(s) you plan to use as collateral. A thumbprint is required under Florida statute.
If you’re not ready to redeem your item by the due date, you may pay the interest due and extend the loan. This can be done in any Florida Pawn branch (bring your yellow contract) or via the Florida Pawn mobile app (a convenience fee applies). If you pick up your item before the due date, you’ll only be charged for the time actually used.
To redeem your item, pay the outstanding loan balance including any applicable interest or charges within the agreed loan period or approved extension window. Florida Pawn will return your collateral item. Bring your loan contract and a valid photo ID when redeeming.
If you miss a payment, Florida Pawn provides a 30-day grace period. During the grace period, an additional 5β25% interest charge accrues to the remaining balance. If the loan is still not repaid or extended after the applicable period, the collateral item may be forfeited according to the pawn loan agreement. There is no impact to your credit score.
Florida Pawn has a mobile app where you can view all your loan transactions, see your payoff amount, make interest payments (small convenience fee applies), and message the branch directly. You can also call the phone number on your yellow contract or visit the branch where your pawn loan was issued.
Before signing, review: the loan amount, that all items you provided are correctly listed, the interest rate (5β25% per month), the payment schedule, the due date, the grace period, renewal and extension options, and what happens if the loan is not repaid. Florida Pawn loan plans are generally structured over 60 days in accordance with Florida state guidelines.
Yes. Florida law requires all pawn shops in Broward County to hold purchased items for a minimum of five business days before resale. This is a state-mandated consumer protection measure. Pawn loan collateral is not subject to this hold β it remains available for redemption at any time during your loan period.
